The IRS warns of scam email messages IRS Warning:
IRS Warning: Don't Go There
The IRS warns of scam email messages that appear to come from taxrefunds@irs.gov. The email says the IRS owes the recipient a tax refund and provides a Web link supposedly to a page on GovBenefits.gov for claiming the refund. However, that link will bounce you to the scammer's site where they request personal and financial data.

I haven't got one yet. If I do get one in the future, I now know it isn't true. I am very glad that I am informed on this issue. I will probally tell some of my friends about this scam and hope they don't make the mistake of replying back to that scandal email.
